Nurses Award 2020 - For all employees is 200% of your ordinary hourly rate for all ordinary shifts worked on a public holiday

Nurses Award 2010 - Personal Care Workers receive 250% for working Easter public Holidays

NSW

Public Health - Permanent Employees

• Full time / Part time
  • Option 1 (Default)
    • Paid at 150% (time and a half) plus 1 day additional annual leave
  • Option 2 (Elected)
    • Paid at 250% (double time and a half) and no leave added
• Casual
  • Paid at 250% (double time and a half)

Private Health

Public Health - Permanent Employees

• Good Friday 
  •  Paid 150% of base rate
• Easter Saturday
  •  50% weekend penalty
• Easter Sunday
  •  75% weekend penalty
• Easter Monday
  •  Paid 150% of base rate
• Anzac Day
  •  Paid 150% of base rate

• Casuals
  • Penalty rates as above in addition to ordinary casual rates.

Additional Notes

• Employees who receive 4 or 5 weeks of annual leave receive 150% penalty in lieu of other shift penalties.
  Those entitled to 6 or 7 weeks of annual leave receive 50% penalty in addition to any applicable shift penalties.
  
  
• Casual employees receive 150% penalty on top of their casual rate, which already includes a 25% loading. No additional shift penalties apply.
  
  
• Regular part-time employees working a rostered extra shift on a public holiday are entitled to an extra 25% loading on top of the public holiday rate.
